Heavy on fashion goes to Uptown Magazine & Lexus Uncorked Event
Hello all my fashion divas and gurus! While I am running around NYC for #NYFW, I am so happy to be back to bring you a fabulous look at my time at Uptown Magazine & Lexus Uncorked event. My husband and I had the chance to enjoy some great food, check out some great cars (shout out to Lexus! ), and indulge in various wines from Diageo.
So Lets get into Heavy on fashion goes to Uptown Magazine & Lexus Uncorked Event
The Food and Wine
At the beginning of the event we were introduced to the chefs of the evening.
Chef Joe “JJ” Johnson and Chef Don Bowie delighted the crowd with a array of classic cuisine with influences from various cultures and regions.
Below is a look at some of the fabulous meals served throughout the night.
Duck and Chicken Andouille Sausage Gumbo paired with Acacia Vineyard Carneros Pinot Nior,
Feijoada Braise Oxtail with Spicy Black Beans paired with Truvee Chardonnay,
Dessert included
Croissant Bread Pudding with Peach Creme Anglaise
and
Coconut Pie with Sweet Potato Caramel Sauce paired with BV Muscat de Beaulieu
*Sidenote: Unfortunately I don't have any photos of the desserts because I ate them that fast. Yeah, the desserts were that good :)

Oh, I also forgot the wine. Thanks to Diageo's new wine division for all the fabulous wine pairings. I am actually not a huge fan of wine. I am more of a champagne and a vodka girl myself but I did find most of the wines quite refreshing and enjoyable. It is not everyday that I get the chance to taste a large array of wines with gourmet cuisine.
The Lexus
I also had the chance to check out a few models from Lexus. This was my favorite one from the night. I love the style and the interior! Shout out to Lexus for hosting this event! I loved that all the guest got a up close and personal look at some great automobiles in the Lexus rooster. Hopefully when I can do Heavy on Fashion Full time, I will be buying myself one of these bad boys!
The Scene
DJ Lil Mic was great. He played a mix of the hottest records with a few classics mixed in. By the middle of the event, many people where dancing, sipping on some wine, and eating some gourmet meals. It was a really great atmosphere. The crowd was pretty good and everyone was really enjoy the vibe Uptown Magazine brought to NYC.
On a personal note, I was happy to be able to enjoy this night with my husband. He really enjoyed the food, the crowd, and the entire scene as a whole. All in all the night was great full of great food, cars, and wonderful music.
