Support Black Farmers
The Urban League did their yearly report on the State of Black America. You can download the report at https://stateofblackamerica.org/. I will not go into the details of that report, but the results are jarring and sadly apparent. We all need to rely on our village and our true allies to survive and thrive in these times.
You can check out The Black Farmers Index—https://blackfarmersindex.com/the-index—for a list of Black farms in your area. The Black Farmers Index is a nonprofit organization; if you can, donate.
Below are a few farmers in the New York/New Jersey area that I am aware of. If you are a farmer in NJ, contact the Black Farmer's Index to be listed!
Farms
Though we are seeing some outrageous stuff happening.
We must remember the following:
- What is happening is not normal, and we as a people should not become apathetic to the racist and bigoted behavior of people both in office and in our residential community
- You have the right to defend yourself from all enemies, both foreign and domestic
- We have to support the ventures within your community and are allies in the cause.
- Prepare for the worst and hope for the best.
- Kindness is the killer of the bad.
History teaches that grave threats to liberty often come in times of urgency, when constitutional rights seem too extravagant to endure. ~ Thurgood Marshall
